You Are Who I See You As
We often want to control how others see us. We want to be understood, seen for who are, seen as we want to be, liked, accepted… The thing is though, we can’t control how others see us.
This is for many reasons. One being that people will always see us through their specific lenses, not our lenses and, therefore their perceptions will be distinctly different to how we perceive ourselves.
Similarly, we each have a external persona. There is a whole piece of ourselves that we will never be able to fully see - this external persona, this energy we emit that others pick up on.
In human design we each have a profile type, an archetype. There are twelve different options you can be. The profiles are made up of two numbers. The first number is our internal world, how we see ourselves. The second number is how we are perceived externally. We can often be less aware or even unconscious to the second number, and therefor lack the understanding of how others see us and feel our energy.
Knowing your profile helps you understand this side of yourself better and get a glimpse into the piece of you that most of the outside world sees. Once awareness is brought to this second number, you are able to recognise it more and lean into its gifts and shadows, embracing the totality of who you are on a deeper level. It shows you that there are so many different pieces of who you are that come together to make your whole being. You are dynamic, inexplicable, three dimensional.
It also helps you understand and accept that you will never be able to control how others see you.
Getting to know yourself on a deeper level and embracing your gifts and magic, that is the only way to accept this fact. Because when you embrace and accept yourself and love who you are, it doesn’t matter how others perceive you.
As an introduction to the profiles I wanted to give a tip and insight into each of the six profile lines. Remember, you will have two of these lines in your profile.
As a one, you have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. When you love something, you want to go deep. However, you may feel that you are never good enough or ready to share your wisdom, trust that when you have a foundation of knowledge, it is time to share it with the world.
As a two, you are innately talented. Certain things come easy to you, and this is your gift. Follow what comes easefully, it is that simple. Allow yourself space to fully get into the flow of your process, but don’t shut out the world too tightly that you can’t share your gifts.
As a three, you are here to experiment. Allow yourself to try, fail, fall down, start again, adventure and let it all be fun, playful and light. Don’t get stuck in the mess, embrace the magic. And share your journey along the way, people want to hear about it.
With a four in your profile, your deep connections are the most important part of your life. Allow yourself to be discerning with who you let into your life, but also be brave and open your heart to those that you feel drawn to.
With a five in your profile, you are meant to problem solve and reach a wide audience. You are here to be of service and share your message with all who cross your path. However, don’t feel like you have to fix all the problems of all the people. Know what problems you are here to solve and be upfront and honest about this with everyone around you.
With a six in your profile, you are here to be an authority. As you go through life you gain deeper wisdom and perspective and are often able to see things from a higher point of view than those around you. Life keeps getting better for you with time. Recognise the gift of your clarity and perspective, the people around you already do.
