Prioritising Nourishment

September Reflections and October Intentions

Welcome back to our monthly reflection and intention setting ritual.

This is our time to reflect on the month that has passed and set intentions for the month ahead.

If you want to hear the whole conversation with more details and nuance and insights, head over to the podcast.

September Reflections

September was a time for reflection, renewal, and releasing. Many of us saw people, patterns and possibilities shift or fall away.

In September we focused on responding verses reacting, and aligning with the passenger consciousness model. Both concepts and practices discussed in detail on the podcast.

September was a time that forced us to get out of our head and into our body. It required us to surrender and soften into what was present for us in each moment, versus spiraling into the past or attempting to see into the future.

What did this look like for you?

journal prompts to reflect on -

what did I gain clarity on this month?

what still feels hazzy or unclear?

what fell away in september?

what entered, or re-entered my life?

where do I still feel spaciousness? where do I still feel in the in-between?

what emotions were present for me throughout september?

herbal companion we loved this month -

cinnamon - it can be under looked since it's so common and seemingly mundane but cinnamon is pure magic…

  • anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, helps with blood sugar and heart health, brain health, warming, stimulating - physically and mentally

  • also a protector - keep cinnamon by your door or around your altar to protector your home and intentions, sprinkle around yourself for luck and protection

  • adding cinnamon to any spell or intention helps emphasise emphasise, and expand the impact and increase the speed of your intention

  • known for abundance, love, action

If you’re interested in sprinkling cinnamon into your everyday ritual, it can be found in our grounded elixir in the apothecary.

October Intentions

October is for Nourishment

Nourishment for our body, mind, and soul.

journal prompts -

As we declared in last months ritual for the autumnal equinox, our words for autumn are nourishment, play, grounding, discernment, stability, abundance, connection, and creativity.

In that ritual, the assignment was to create categories for your life and write down where you feel nourished or depleted right now in each area.

If you have yet to do this ritual, we highly recommend creating space to do so to support your nourishment.

From that, we decided on intentions and action steps you can embody to bring you further into nourishment in each area of your life.

In order to do this we had to get clear on —-

what does balance mean to you?

what does nourishment mean to you?

what does balance and nourishment look like in your life RIGHT NOW?

You get to define these words for yourself and they will ebb and flow as you do.

Check in with yourself - how are these intentions and commitments going?

How can you create a ritual of checking in on your level of nourishment throughout this month?

Choose one action step from each category and bring it into your daily ritual, or do a nourishment assessment daily/weekly.

Mantras for October

I prioritise nourishment for my mind, body, and soul.

I am grounded within myself.

I am surrounded by abundance in every area of my life.

I am protective of my energy and generous with my spirit.

Intention for October -

In October, I prioritise connection to my nourishment above all else.

I know that if we focus on our foundation, our needs, our nourishment, all will align and fall into place for us. We are setting ourselves up for a strong, sturdy, and spacious winter - which is much needed.

I hope you make yourself a priority this month. I can’t wait to see what unfolds for you from that energy.

Until next time, stay intuitively wild 🌙
