Human Design Meets Mental Health

In this weeks episode of Intuitively Wild, we did something a little different. We replayed a conversation that our founder, Rachel Levine had with past guest Adriana Keefe on her podcast [insert podcast name here & link]. It's a dive deep into how human design can illuminate our paths to mental health, body acceptance, and healing from disordered eating (rach's expertise). The conversation, filled with raw vulnerability, highlights the role of intuition, desire, and self-awareness in reclaiming our identity.

Here are five powerful quotes from the episode, along with a little bit of context on what that makes them so meaningful:

1. “Living Intuitively Wild is about coming back home to ourselves. Here, we talk about how to live connected to ourselves, others, and nature, and make a commitment to radical authenticity, vulnerability, and acceptance.”

This quote encapsulates the essence of Intuitively Wild. Rachel opens the episode by grounding us in the podcast’s purpose: a space for deep self-exploration. The conversation with Adriana flows from this core, focusing on how living in alignment with our Human Design can strip away societal expectations and allow us to live more authentically.

2. “Human Design is not a tool to recover from an eating disorder, but it’s a way to understand yourself and support your healing journey.”

Rachel’s vulnerability shines as she shares her personal journey through disordered eating. Here, she clarifies that Human Design isn’t a cure, but rather a mirror that reflects our natural tendencies and triggers. It’s through this self-understanding that she began to heal her relationship with food and her body.

3. “When I was trying to talk about something that was uncomfortable... I couldn’t get the words out without crying. And so I just stopped talking about things that would make me cry. I stopped letting myself cry.”

This raw reflection speaks to the emotional blocks that many of us build to survive. Rachel and Adriana discuss how their emotional authorities, a core element of their Human Design charts, reveal the deep need to feel emotions fully. Rachel’s acknowledgment of her tears being stifled offers a poignant look at how emotional repression influenced her mental health—and how allowing herself to cry became a radical act of self-healing.

4. “I’m done with burnout. I’m choosing devotion and desire over discipline.”

Rachel’s statement here marks a profound shift from the rigid “hustle culture” mindset toward a softer, more sustainable way of living. Human Design encourages leaning into the things that bring joy and excitement. Both Rachel and Adriana discuss how this shift allowed them to redefine success, letting go of perfectionism and embracing more intuitive, joyful living.

5. “The main reason I started this podcast is that I want people to share their stories and their voices... I’m open about my journey now because sharing it is what healed me.”

Through this conversation, Rachel highlights the power of storytelling. By sharing her struggles with body image, eating disorders, and her Human Design journey, she dismantles the shame that often surrounds these topics. Vulnerability, as Rachel describes, isn’t just a personal healing tool but a way to create deeper connections with others who are navigating similar paths.
